Option JH6 for missing Hermes module?

On my window sticker from my 2021 Cargo, I have an option item "JH6 Pre-fitting Communication Module (LTE) for Dig Services" with a $-183 credit. I'm guessing that this is a credit for the Hermes module for telematics that was not available at the time the van was made. Under my steering wheel I have found the wiring harness and connectors for where this communication module is to go. Has anyone here been able to get their hands on this module and successfully install in their van with the prewiring JH6? I'm looking to be able to remotely lock/unlock the van using the mercedes smartphone app.

Also, if anyone here has a van with option JH3 (Hermes module actually fitted to the vehicle...), have you got the capability to remotely lock/unlock the van using the Mercedes app? If you do have the module and this capability, would you mind taking a photo of the white sticker (with all of the data) on your Hermes module for me? It is located either under the steering column under the dash, or behind the 2 cupholders in the center of the dash. That cupholder pulls up and out pretty easily without tools... Here's a photo of what the Hermes module looks like. It's about the size of a pack of cards...:

Many Thanks!

What else would this option do? I can already remotely lock/unlock van with the fob, and without having to take the fob out of my pocket, although only from 50-100’ range.
Sorry, my bad for not being more specific. My need is to be able to lock/unlock the van without the fob... I believe the feature may also allow other things like remote start, door/window open notifications, vehicle locator, etc.

I can't comment on this item, but the mid city engineering remote start product integrates with compustar drone to enable remote unlock over cellular.
I looked into the mid city engineering remote start/drone as I have their alarm integration already in the van. I was hoping to get away from the subscription model, but per ice rabbit it sounds like the Mercedes Me stuff is a paid subscription as well... Nothing is free :-(

I have a 2021 Getaway and use Mercedes Me Connect without a paid subscription. I did have to remind the dealership concierge to register that feature for my VIN. It was my understanding that was free for the first 5 years. I read that on my dealer's website. Of course that won't help because that can't work without the currently unavailable LTE module. (Edit: which mine had --I just noticed that icerabbit was ahead of me by a few seconds)
Ahhh! A Metris with an actual LTE module installed! A rare beast indeed!

Do you mind seeing if you can find the module under your steering column or behind the center cupholders and post a photo of the sticker on it for me?

Thanks!

I've seen a video of the cup holder prying out fairly easily. I'm not sure that will leave enough room for me to get my big iPad in to take a suitable picture. I will make a reasonable effort the next time I have good weather in my driveway.

It would be good to have the correct partno at least. I'm not sure how all the unique network info could help. Good luck in your quest to find one. I"m guessing it would have to be coded to your van by an mbvans dealership if-you-did --and they might be leary of any part they didn't source from their usual supply channels.
Thanks ahead of time if you get a chance that would be great!

You're absolutely right, it would have to be coded to the van. I'm after the specific part and version numbers... There are lots these floating around eBay, etc., but I'm guessing they're older or broken ones that are not likely to work. Equipped with the proper part number I may even be able to get one through Mercedes...

No Joy. There was nothing under there that I could get close enough to identify. I did glimpse a couple of modules --one big one squarely mounted to the floor under what you can see in the picture and another candidate under the dash --well to the right of the steering column.

The weather in my driveway is awful tomorrow, but I will try to dig out my bore scope and take a closer look next week.
