Its this time of the year again and I wanted to share some pictures of my Winter Grill Guard installation.

Mercedes Benz part number is Q-6-02-0469 and it was about CAN $60

Install took 5 min and it does make the engine warm up faster and stay warm.

There are 8 push pins with a hook that lock in behind the grill to secure the guard. Very simple but effective.

Weather here today in Alberta, Canada:

Now that’s cold! (For those curious, -37C = -34.6F). I bet that cover is very helpful at those temps.

It sure helps to keep engine temperature and thus the interior temperature up.

This is unseasonable cold, normally it would be around -10 degrees at this time of the year ? This morning it hit -39 degrees which I haven't seen or experienced either.

My Metris is parked in the Garage overnight and in a warm Parkade during the day. So far I haven't experienced any mayor problems with this cold.

It does make some weird rattling noises from somewhere inside, I assume this is due to the cold interior plastic panels rubbing each other.

Love the "Mad Max" idea ?
