Does anyone know if the USA/Canada market metris vans are built in Mexico, or Spain where the euro market is built?

Mine came from Vittoria-Gasteiz, Spain. I was watching the whole process from build to ship to Ladsen to my dealer. I have no idea if they also source them from elsewhere.

I know there are a bunch of them built near Mexico City and thought they'd be in under NAFTA.

Not sure what you've heard but my V Class bought in Mexico came from Spain. I know this because it took couple extra weeks to arrive due to bad weather in the Gulf. (And the Invoice states this as well).

MB does have a plant for Freightliner there but not sure they do the Metris.

2017 Cargo - 2018 Passenger

From the Metris dealer stickers in South Florida:
2018 Passenger:
Parts are: 70% Spain, 12% Germany
Engine and Transmission: Germany
Assembled in Spain

2017 Cargo
Parts are 70% Spain, 12 % Germany
Engine and Transmission: Germany
Assembled in Charleston, SC
(NOTE: Originally assembled in Spain, disassembled for import as parts, then reassembled in SC)

Sometime 'soon' SC plant will be up and operational to build in US.
Do not know what nor where the 'other' 18% of parts are.
