I'm semi hesitant to create this thread because I don't want to create hysteria but I did want to spread what I've seen so far:

Blank instrument cluster. Resulted in removing the cluster and doing a hard reset. All good. roughly 40 miles or so

Coolant hose at overflow bottle loose. Coolant low light on. Could have snapped it back in, we replaced it for good measure. Topped coolant. Shipped

Various CEL for gross evap leak. There's a hose on the driver side under some stuff (I honestly don't know exactly where it is). Just needed reattaching. Cleared codes and shipped.

Mine: Third row seat squeak. It was trying to tell me to go postal. We lined the latches with felt tape instead. The voices from the van went away.

Blind spot Assist inop (Also on mine): Connected SDS, cleared codes. I've put 20 or so miles since. All good.

Read about heat shields on a cargo loose. Retightened at dealer. All good.

Feel free to add any topics that come up.

"Never listen to the voices in the van"
Good thread idea but you're right about the risk, so thanks even more.

I've got two. Not really broken but worth mentioning.

1. After I'd settled into about 500 miles I continually noticed a slight vibration around 35-45 MPH. Was unsure whether it was inherent of stiff suspension or a slight wheel imbalance, but figured I'd mention it since I was going in for problem #2 below. Tech test drove and said all seemed fine but they'd balance anyway. Well, ride is now noticeably smoother and quieter. Man, once you go Mercedes service you never go back.

2. For the other guy in North America who has the back up alarm, we discovered how to engage night mode. (See, I leave at 5:30 lots of days. My neighbor sleeps in till around 8:00. My driveway pad is directly below his bedroom window. Hilarity ensues, unless you're him.) Apparently the manual instructions are a mistranslation from the German. You need to tap into reverse, let the alarm sound once, then tap into reverse again and night mode is engaged. Why they'd insist on one loud bleep, who knows, maybe stealth isn't a German virtue.

At 900 miles I've got a CEL.

I got a collision assist inoperable warning at 800 miles that went away.

A snap for the carpeted driver's side floor mat tore out of the floor when I tried to unsnap it to vacuum.

Most troubling is that there's some staining coming through the headliner nearly dead center side to side just behind the seam that's just behind the driver's seat. A leak is definitely not going to work in Seattle so I'm a little nervous about getting this issue cleared up properly. I'm hoping it's the rear window washer hose or something other than outside water penetrating the frame. Will talk to my dealer next week and will update here.

CEL is prolly either the evap or fuel pump pressure low.
I had the collision assist quite and come back.
Make sure they warranty that floor mat!
Not sure about the leak, but PLEASE keep us updated.

brand new and rattles???

I just picked mine up from the dealer today. About 1/2 way home, I began to hear some rattle in the right rear. Had assistant go back and pinpoint. She said between passenger wheel well and rear door post. I need to investigate this. I did find plastic bags stuck in post to hold wire connectors from rattling???? Not sure, really didn't have time to investigate before work.

I bought a cargo van. The bags are black. I did not pull out yet being in a hurry to get to work. The jack is in that corner, but it appears tight. I may remove it and go for a drive to see if that was it. When I crawled under and looked around, there is a silver sheet metal heat shield over the exhaust. This is not screwed tight all around the perimeter, only in pre drilled places are there screws. I can flex it with little effort and it taps against the floor of the van, but again, not sure if this is the source of the sound. I will pull out the black plastic bags in the corner. There is also a black box in that corner and just a thought it may have something to do with my factory trailer hitch wiring? The box appears tight to the interior metal work. Will look at all if I have a chance tomorrow, Thursday.

I took 2 pics today of the black plastic bags, inside the Left rear post. I noted there is a MB star and part number on the bag, but photo doesn't show it. I'll have to try to get a better pic of it. BOTH rear posts have same bag inside. I didn't tear them open, but they are soft like they contain foam bits or something inside. There is a few wires with quick connect clips inside and slack in the posts. Perhaps these bags are there to stop the hard plastic connectors from rattling???

Here is a pic of the bag with the MB emblem. Hard to read part number, but it is A6396821304. Dealer says it is listed as 'insulation'. Now I don't know if that is acoustic or thermal. There is only 1 in each rear post, in the very bottom, mixed in with wire connectors, so I'm guessing it is there to stop rattling of wire harnesses? I'd say each bag measures 9"x12"x2"

UPdate on rattle: I took a video I'd like to post from my iPhone, but MSN won't allow the video even though it is short. Maybe I'm trying to upload the hard way? I thought I had to send to my email account, save to my pc, then paste here? Anyway, the rattle is the the tailpipe hanger rubbing against the frame. The hanger is in a black rubber mounting donut, this allows the exhaust to move just enough when the van shifts on uneven roads and it rattles like crazy. The exhaust resonates at a certain vibration when the engine is running and this gets magnified by the frame rail. I sent the vid via text to my dealer guy and am scheduled to get it repaired. He asked if it looks bent. I don't know cause car exhausts look all bent to me to begin with when a computer designs them to fit the vehicle. The reardoors main gasket will be repaired at the same time. I asked about the FM update and he checked and said there is no update. Would like info on the exact update if possible to tell him about it.
