If you want my suggestion on that, try buying a cheap roll of Indoor/Outdoor carpeting. They don't last as much as a weather tech mat does, obviously. But if you know where to buy it, they don't cost nearly as much either.
Question, seems I only have the floor mat retention pins on the driver's side, not the passenger, of my Metris Cargo Van. What's up with that? Also, checked with the dealer and the indoor - outdoor (non carpet) mats are not stocked in the US, needs to be brought in from Germany. Anybody picked those up yet? Thoughts
I would think so. I mean assuming it was an MB mat, and the damage was to your van rather than to your mat. I would hope the mat would be to if it was an MB mat but I dunno what their policy is for accessories.
They make four different types, actually. There is a cheapy rope cloth one I wouldn't recommend. There is a velour one, which is what I have, it's nice, fits perfect, snaps into place on the drivers side (and stays put with friction and floor shape on the passengers side) and says "Mercedes-Benz" in a mildly classy way on it. Made me even more comfortable about not springing for the factory carpet, part 447 680 40 00. http://m.ebay.com/itm/2016-up-Mercedes-Benz-Metris-van-FLOOR-MAT-FRONT-LEFT-RIGHT-CLOTH-BLACK-Genuine-/191934732319 (I paid half that, shop around, and almost any Metris/Vito specific interior accessories will have a part number starting with 447, since the first three digits refer to the body code for the vehicle it was originally designed for, and the current Metris/Vito is W447.)
That eBay link is again an example. I don't vouch for the seller, or the price. Also for your general information, a Mercedes Vito body style W447 is the same vehicle in most ways as the Metris (not W638 or W639, which the previous two generations of Vito/V-class/Viano/Valente). The major differences are powertrain related (W447 Vitos come in front wheel drive with Renault 1.6 liter diesels (in several outputs) coupled to a 6-speed manual only or Rear or All wheel drive with a 2.1 Mercedes diesel (also in several outputs) and either 6-speed manual or 7-speed auto; no gas engine in any of the three drive configurations- the Metris is only available with a 2.0 208bhp/258 ft-lb version of the gas M274 direct injection turbo coupled to the 7G-tronic+ tranny and rear drive). So if googling Metris doesn't find the part you need try googling W447 Vito instead.
