I am considering a van without electric/heated mirrors. Has anyone tried to update the mirrors to electric/heated?

I look-up some tech documents in German and there seems to be all the wiring installed regardless of the package. Therefore, unless I am mistaken, only the mirrors bodies with motors and the controls on the driver's door must be installed. I know that it could be an expensive proposition; just trying to assess the damage. It is a nice van and I am hopefully able (I have prior German cars electrical experience) and willing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I just purchased a 2016 Metris Cargo without Electric/Heated mirrors. I'd like to install them as well.
Did you ever get some info on how to do, or cost?

I would guess that if this is possible, it would be complicated and expensive, depending on how if and how it is integrated into the CANbus.

I bought my Metris without electric mirrors and when I went to have electric ones installed Mercedes told me you would have to change the entire wire harness.
