On my 2018 Metris cargo, all three vent outlets will come on when vehicle is started.
Not every time, but probably 1 in 10 starts.
Wondering if this is a bug in the body control module?

There are 3 pushbuttons for A/C vent options: Defrost, Panel, Foot.
Normally I have just the Panel button engaged.
More and more when the vehicle is started, all 3 vent buttons will light up, and I have to shut off the Defrost and Foot vents.

My Metris does this occasionally...normally, I leave it on the panel option 99% of the time. Every now and then when I start the engine, all three zones will light up just like the OP. I just turn off the defrost and floor.

Ok that’s much clearer. I wouldn’t know if it does that on mine as I always have panel and foot on and in the winter almost always defrost as well. It has never to my recollection deviated from its previous setting.

Mine does the same thing with the AC ALSO turning on

I've experienced this with both a 2017 and 2019 cargo, though it was way more frequent on the 2017. It has always puzzled me.

same on my 2017 and it has done it from mile 0 all the way to my current mileage of 29,990 🤷🏻‍♂️ Annoying but non-problematic thus far.
The audio head unit is far more frustrating lol.

My 2017 cargo does the same thing. It is a bit annoying but not a real problem, in my opinion. I’ve never asked my dealer about it. I wonder if anyone has ever discussed this with a dealer.
