The engine of my 2016 Metris PV was replaced December last year and I have since done about 1500-2000 miles on it.

I was in San Francisco this week and noticed that on steep downhill streets the transmission hesitates/refuses to upshift causing the engine to rev up? A manual upshift takes care of it, but while parking I also got a brief warning in red letters about something transmission error/failure, but it disappeared before I could read it properly.

Is there such a thing as flashing/resetting the transmission logic?

Engine revving while going down a short steep hill.

Yesterday I came home from Orange Hill restaurant in Orange County, SoCal and the problem scared me a little. It's a very steep hill but short and I was applying brakes all the way down to keep the speed slow under 15 miles/hr when engine revving above 3,000 rpm. Is it normal? I thought when...

mine refused to downshift when going uphill. it happened to me twice now going up the steep section of Taylor St between Pine and California just in the last 2 weeks!
