Just FYI, I received this email today. Seems like a fairly minor recall topic (Inaccurate Vehicle Location for Emergency Services) but thought I should mention it for those who haven't signed up for such notices. Here Email Alerts | Safercar | National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is how to sign up for them.

Your vehicle MAY be involved in a safety recall and MAY create a safety risk for you or your passengers. If left unrepaired, a potential safety defect could lead to injury or even death. Safety defects must be repaired by a dealer at no cost to you.
Why am I getting this email?

What is a recall?
When a manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines that a vehicle creates an unreasonable risk to safety or fails to meet minimum safety standards, the manufacturer is required to fix that vehicle at no cost to the owner. That can be done by repairing it, replacing it, offering a refund (for equipment) or, in rare cases, repurchasing the car.
What should I do if my vehicle is included in this recall?
If your vehicle is included in this recall, it is very important that you get it fixed as soon as possible given the potential danger to you and your passengers if it is not addressed. You should receive a separate letter in the mail from the vehicle manufacturer, notifying you of the recall and explaining when the remedy will be available, whom to contact to repair your vehicle, and to remind you that the repair will be done at no charge to you. If you believe your vehicle is included in the recall, but you do not receive a letter in the mail from the vehicle manufacturer, please call NHTSA's Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236, or contact your vehicle manufacturer or dealership.
Thank you for your attention to this important safety matter and for your commitment to helping save lives on America's roadways.

Thanks for the warning! I'll try not to crash anywhere remote until the fix is in. :)

Apparently it's an over the air fix with no dealer visit required. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2021/RCLRPT-21V055-9108.PDF

"As a precautionary measure MBAG will update the software of the communication module for the automatic emergency call system on the affected vehicles. All customers will receive official recall notification letters. For vehicles that are subscribed to the Mercedes Me/Mercedes Pro service, this software update will be performed over-the-air and with no workshop visit required. For vehicles that are not subscribed to the Mercedes Me/ Mercedes Pro service, the notification letter will advise the customer that he/she may opt out of the over-the-air update and visit an authorized workshop to have the update performed. If the customer does not opt out within the specified period, the update will be sent to the vehicle thereafter. Depending on conditions such as network coverage and steadiness of the data connection, if the over-the-air update cannot be successfully completed, the customer will be separately notified and advised to visit the workshop to have the updated performed. Customers that subscribe to the Mercedes Me / Mercedes Pro service can check the status of the update through the associated website and/or through the Mercedes Me/ Mercedes Pro app."

Likely only fleet vehicles impacted after Sept 2019 production dates... as far as I can tell. I think you need to have the LTE module option.
