Hi, fellow Metris owners!

I got my metris cargo yesterday, and still on the reading the manual phase.

I see on the manual that I can activate rear view camera while moving forward by pressing and holding sys buttom for 2+ seconds - but it doesn't seem to be working nor the setup menu has anything about the rear camera.

Has anyone ran into, and got around this problem yet?

I'll go ahead and drop a note to the dealer as well.

It doesn't actually say that. It says that the Sprinter can do that, and it can. My friend has a Sprinter. But the Metris can't, partially because of the flap protected camera, I think.

I know, it says that in the Audio 15 manual. But that manual, without saying much on the subject, is for both the Metris and the Sprinter.

Thanks for your input. But my Metris comes with a set of barndoors, with fixed cameras.

And, it doesn't make sense - or should I say it is misleading if the manual that comes with the car doesn't represent the equipment it carries!

Is this an issue that can be brought up to Mercedes for a firmware update or, a hack could solve this issue?

I've looked into the coding and I didn't see ANY changeable settings. I'll double check again at some point though.

Really it just needs clarification in the manual.

maybe... Sprinter audio 15 firmware can be installed on Metris?

Either way, the oem rear camera is not set up the best for full-time rear view use, I mayneed to go get a stand-alone system anyways.

Our road side Metris got a full time rear camera setup installed. Cargo box without a standard camera. Just kinda ludicrous.

Checked again last night even though I knew the asnwer... 0000ZERO000 changeable settings.

Anyone know if there has been an update to the camera control module A4479000002 ? Or is that still the go-to part for camera module repair? My backup camera has glitched out.
