We're getting ready to purchase a Metris passenger van for our family, but we're wondering if anyone can comment on how comfortable the rear seats are. We know that there's lots of space, but how comfortable are the seats for a long-distance trip? Thanks.

They are flat Germanic comfortable. I use my car as my office and I prefer sitting back there to in front for such things- admittedly with my legs up.

$30 on some cheap seat overlay might be a good solution unless you're willing to do something more and spend into the hundreds.

Thanks for your replies! Forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by "flat Germanic comfortable"? I've never owned a European vehicle so I'm not familiar with what that refers to. Thanks again.

German seats are flat and hard, but in a comfortable way- sorta like a Bank Of England chair.

No complaints thus far from the car pool, however, they were used to my VW Eurovan, which had similar flat, firm seats.
