I recently bought a 2016 passenger van. It had an annoying metal on metal rattle coming from the back. I isolated it to the seat rail on our test drive and figured it should be an easy fix. Today I pulled the seat out, flipped it over and saw the locking mechanism spring between the side plates was in contact with the metal side of the seat base. A few felt furniture pads and about 5 minutes and no more rattle!
THANK YOU! I've had a small intermittent rattle on my pass seat that would stop with pushing the seat slightly to the right, sounds just like this. I'll look at mine tonite.
I bought my Metris used. The first thing I noticed on the test ride was a terrible rattle from the rear hatch. The dealer fixed it, but I’m not sure what they did. I’m guessing it was a striker plate adjustment. Good luck bikecharlie!
