I’m have a 17 Metris passenger van that has developed a rattle in the rear area. I have checked and secured the jack and looked for anything loose with no success. Any ideas?

There is at least one electrical control box in the rear. You can check them. I think another member found one of those rattling.

My new 2020 Cargo had a rattle in the rear right.

Forward of the jack mount, there is a small metal flap that is removable for access to electronics and wiring. On the passenger side there is a black controller box for rear lights, towing, … I think. That was rattling in mine new upon purchase.

It was kind of loose. Small strip of sound deadener between the structure and the box. Fastened properly. Did not open the box. Then made sure the metal access plate did not rattle.

Rattle noise went away. So, if you suspect it is in that area, I would have a look at that.

Going to check this now, I have a rattle that seems to be back there, losing my mind finding it.

My passenger van jack isnt mounted like or look exactly like yours....dang it. The rear barn doors if I grab them firmly seem to rattle, maybe at the little latch down below, maybe its that? going to try putting foam on the latch.
