I've noticed that the payload for the Cargo Van is listed as 2502 lbs, while that of the Passenger Van is listed as just 1874 lbs. But at the same time the GAWF/GAWR (3417 lbs), GVWR (6724 lbs) and GCWR (11724 lbs) are all exactly the same for both the Cargo and Passenger vans. So what explains the payload difference - just the weight of the seats? Can the pair of seats really weigh 628 lbs? Or does that difference perhaps also reflect the weight of the extra air bags and interior trim in the passenger version?

The curb weight of the Metris is listed as between 4,222 and 4,850 lbs. So yes, the differences comes down to the weight of the seats, windows, insulation, airbags and other interior trim.

Try removing the seats from the passenger van by yourself and you might be lead to believe that the difference in weight is in the seats alone. :)
