Hi Everyone!
Somehow we tend to neglect this forum to announce events we (Peace Vans) run the in the field. They are almost always on the West Coast (sorry), but they are fun, informative and a great way to meet other Metris owners and speak with the expert team at Peace Vans. Typically, we do every other Wednesday from 4-6PM as an open house at our Seattle, WA HQ. We try to get down to Portland every other month and do a California trip quarterly. These events are open to all Metris owners, Metris curious or even people that know and love us from the VW world and just want to connect with us.

Harley's post reminded me -- we're just back from a week of curated Vanagon Westfalia camping in Baja, thanks to Peace Vans Rentals. We had an '89 (?) full camper "Chilliwack" that served us ever reliably. It was tremendous fun to drive -- we did about 300 miles in 7 days -- in the old Westy. PVR took the work out of it by providing curated campsites. Each of the resorts where we stayed was outstanding in it its own way. We especially liked the Libra Adventure Hostel at Playa Cerritos, El Pescador. David Rodrigue has set up an incredible eco-resort in an amazing location. Go visit!

I have to hand it to Peace Vans Rentals. All the onsite crew in Baja were super -- kind, engaged, always helpful -- basically perfect hosts. We had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, which I'd do again in a minute! A few pics of our van below:

Thanks for that review! So glad you had a good time. Honestly, the Baja program is a great example of how we are as a team and what you get when you do any business w/ us - rent, buy, repair, etc. The Baja thing has been such a great gift to offer - a lot of work for sure. But so many smiles. Thank you for trusting us with your vacation! And...yes, David's place in Cerritos is pretty awesome. Such a sweet guy

We did a Peace Vans curated event/trip in the PNW and can highly recommend them. They have a lot of great ideas for trips and provide outstanding experiences, customer service, and, in our case, an excellent dinner catered by a local chef! Check their offerings out!
