Using l-track in my van conversion which will be support vehicle for a transcontinental run.

Have read the l-track threads, very helpful. Here's my situation:

In a nutshell -- I don't want to make new holes in the van, so would like ideas for:

1) methods for installing shelves using l-track

2) securing 5 gal jug-style Igloo coolers using l-track

Appreciate any and all ideas.

L track is relatively easy to install mid way up on the walls in the rear of a cargo van. There are something like six or eight 8 mm threaded inserts built into the frame. You can buy L track from MB, which will have the holes spaced correctly, or buy from another source. I got L track and associated fittings from US Cargo control.

There are a couple of places where you can secure a short piece of L track using existing 6 mm threaded inserts- at the top of the C pillars and at the base of the D pillar where the jack holder is installed.

Anything beyond that will require new holes to properly secure the L track.
