Haven’t had any problems and I tow allot with the Mav as well as my Chevy with an aftermarket controller

the built in is just going to be more accurate as it’s tied into the ecu which uses information such as your vehicles brakes etc. I suppose if it starts glitching I may change my mind but so far it’s cleaner and easier to use

I’m with @pounce on this. I routinely have gps, some music, message, and phone all open and in use on my Sony head unit
