Another stupid question. I'm ordering a set of steel wheels for snow tires, but the van is coming equipped with the 5 spoke alloy wheels. Do the two wheels use the same lugs?

Where are you ordering from? They would tell you based on the specs of the rim. On my B200 I can use the same wheel nuts between the 16" steel and 17" alloy.

My alloy rims and steel rims take different lugs. The lugs that I have for 2 different types of alloy rims (for different vehicles) have a sleeve that goes over the lug threads to protect the ally rim, which makes the hole in the alloy rim larger than on a steel rim. You'd have to be severely mechanically challenged to miss that the lugs are not compatible with the other rim...... but I'm sure people have tried it. Its always hard to over estimate how stupid some people can be.

For the metris, factory steel and alloy wheels use the same wheel bolt.
