I just saw this online. The family of 4 in the Sienna survived with "moderate" injuries. The Nissan crossed the center line. Nissan driver survives also with moderate injuries, Nissan passenger did not survive.

I like my Metris. Happy Easter.

If you want an interesting comment on safety, watch the 2015 Sienna driver side small offset crash test. It does better than a number of other minivans, and they were happy to talk about that.

Without warning, IIHS ran some tests in 2018 using the same test but on the passenger side, the Sienna being one of the models tested. It did horrible; watch that video too. Compare them.

That is a prime example of designing for crash tests and not overall safety. I’m not commenting on the Metris beyond the fact that it is designed for both left and right hand drive markets (the Sienna is practically NA only) and Mercedes has always taken a wholistic approach to safety.

No body has ever ran a small offset test on a W447 so I won’t comment on how it performs in one.
