Obviously, the best and most economical way to have your Metris set up with the ability to tow is to order the option when you order your vehicle. However, mine was purchased as a service loaner and didn't come with that option. So it was either pay the quoted $2000 or so to have the dealer do it, which I wasn't about to do, or go the aftermarket route.

etrailer sells the Draw-Tite hitch for $148.95 shipped and the harness for $79.70 shipped. I installed the hitch (easy) and Car Toys installed the harness for $238.15. Everything works perfectly for a grand total of $466.80.

Already bought a trailer and had zero issues pulling it.
