I flushed brake fluid this weekend (Pentosin Super DOT 4, Motive pressure bleeder) and was reminded what a huge difference fresh fluid makes in the Metris. No other vehicle I've owned has liked having fresh fluid so much, and our 2016 is a light-use passenger mover (no cargo or towing). We do low mileage so this is time based at about 2 years.
Makes me wonder how much moisture / contamination is getting into the hydraulic system if the old fluid is that worked over and, from the long term ownership perspective, how long until brake system components start degrading, pistons dragging, etc. Hopefully I'm wrong.
