I need to install an invertor in my Metris Van, (with back hatch lift). Before I attempt it, I thought to utilize a Battery Tender to save the memory on vehicle while working on the batteries.
Is it feasible to connect the Battery Tender to the jump start connections under the hood, rather than to the battery cables, in order to avoid having so many wires down under the seat while working?
I have the charge battery under the passenger seat and the auxiliary battery under the drivers seat. Hardly any room to work:(
Figured I would need to cut some holes and install heavy rubber grommets to run the wiring to the invertor. With all that going on I thought it would be easier to connect the battery maintainer under the hood. Just want to make sure it would be possible.
Thanks for any input:)
John
