We have a 2016 Metris passenger van. We upfitted it and use it for tailgating and trade shows between approximately the start of May through the end of November. After that, it tends to sit in a storage unit, other than us starting and driving it once a month or so. Last winter, we weren't able to get to it for two months and the battery died. We charged/reconditioned the battery and it is working again. But, to avoid this, and avoid having to disconnect the battery, we wanted to see if anyone has had any luck installing a battery disconnect switch. We bought one on Amazon that can be unscrewed to break the circuit, but due to the cramped area where the battery is located, it won't fit. In a perfect world, we would just put a battery tender on it. Unfortunately, the storage unit does not have electric. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
