Big thanks for getting this up, will come in handy, no need to immediately go right to the dealer, actually some of us might be more well informed than some folks at the dealer with this doc.

Do we know yet when the US launch or the Metris arrival on dealer lots is expected?

Been looking around for that information for some time now without any luck, have to keep waiting.

Dealers might have some info on it.

- Orders accepted from June 2015
- Demo vans arrive at dealers in September 2015
- First customer vans arrive at dealers in October 2015
the prices in the Dealer Ordering Guide, are they retail price or dealer invoice price? How much profit does the dealer expect to make on each vehicle? Thousand bucks sound reasonable?

Thanks.
They are retail. The retail on my truck was 40,500 and the "Invoice" was 37,792. Which is the price I agreed to with my dealer, although another dealer offered it to me for $37,500 (I have enough loyalty to my dealer that $292 is not enough to move me). My guess is that with all their incentives and such, the dealer pays about $1000 under invoice, so they are probably making between $3500 and $4000 a truck without negotiations. Thats an insanely tight margin, admittedly.

Theres a reason I didn't go into the auto business.
Can anyone confirm that Sirius/XM is NOT available? Disappointing if true....

I cannot confirm, but it should be relatively easy to add some kind of module to accomplish that feature. I'm sure the minds on this forum will be able to figure out a solution...

It should be just as easy as using any Sirius/XM receiver and then connecting the receiver to the headunit (maybe as simple as a common AUX cable).
Agreed - but it's 2015. I've had FACTORY INTEGRATED XM on my Suburban since 2007. I'm not very interested in a 3rd party/kludged install for something that's so standard on every other vehicle today.

The Becker Audio 15 looks like a real dog - which is unfortunate as I'm planning on ordering the "extra" display in the main gauge area and to not have XM info displayed there as well as not having steering wheel control of the XM (something I have in the Suburban as well) just doesn't seem very "Mercedes-like".

Especially when these vehicles are targeting folks who are in them for extended periods of time - not to mention that it's available on every other MB product that I can think of.

I'm on a search for a direct-replacement item for the Audio 15 that will play with all factory displays and controls...

I guess when they considered the demographic it might not have seemed to be nearly as important as it would be for say those buying a Suburban.

The demographic of a Metris driver is someone who spends a lot of time in their vehicle, and often driving long distances without passengers to speak with. I would think that's pretty much the ideal demographic of a satellite radio user. Dumb move by MB in my opinion.
As someone who spends a lot of time in my vehicle (40k plus a year) I find streaming music from my iPhones 2000 or so songs does me just fine. I certainly wouldn't wanna pay for XM, Siriusly.
Those who don't want to pay for XM are people who've never had it. ;-)
I get it, tho - everything isn't one-size-fits-all - but satellite radio is in nearly EVERY vehicle available today as stock - if you don't want it, you don't activate it, but the hardware is there and capable. But you can't get steering wheel control of your iPhone (easily) either...

(not to mention XM offerings for weather and traffic...i know..i know...you get them on your phone, too.)
I've had it on loaners (mostly C300s and GLK350s) and it doesn't appeal to me.
can you let me know the name of the dealer who will sell one at invoice or lower. I am also interested in booking one and am wondering if you can help
I doubt any dealer will sell it at invoice for the asking. I played three dealers off against each other. Welcome to car buying.
After some investigation, learned that Costco Auto purchase program will give additional 1500 discount below invoice. Anyone interested in purchasing Metris should explore this option for compare. Hope this helps.
A few observations after viewing the order guide.
A 2016 cargo van with optional power mirrors, backup camera, and cruise control for $29,000? These "options" have been standard equipment for years on economy cars & should be standard on the Metris. If Mercedes wants to cut costs make the "crosswind assist" an option. I have been driving vans for 20+ years, taller in stature than the Metris & have never had an issue with a cross wind. I use cruise control, a backup camera, & side mirrors everyday.
The Metris looks like an interesting vehicle, I am scratching my head about it being sold & serviced by the 200 Sprinter dealers exclusively? There is no Sprinter dealer in Minneapolis/St.Paul a metro area of 4+million folks, the closest dealer is in Rochester, 85 miles from me. I have a Mercedes auto dealer about 10 miles away, can they do an oil change on a Metris or any warranty work? The motor & transmission are in other Mercedes cars, why can't a regular Mercedes dealer service a Metris? Metris sales will be much higher if any Mercedes dealer can service it.
