History
I bought this car purely as a toy. It was in tip top shape with a rebuilt engine and transmission. I drove it only on fine weekend days. I miss it terribly, but business considerations outflanked the ownership of toys.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Under the hood the car had the legendary OM617.950. It had the more powerful motor, the 121hp version, with 179ft-lb of torque. Not a lot of motor for such a big car, perhaps, but faster than Rudolf. It got up and got when I wanted it to, and I had it doing 85mph on the freeway when I wanted it to. Out of respect for its age I never went faster.
Interior
The interior was a brown MB-Tex. It was fairly stock. Original floormats and all the stuff you expect.
Exterior
The car was completely rust free. There was a tiny paint imperfection on the trunk lid.
Audio
The in-car entertainment was not stock. It had a modern cassette player as seen in the interior shot. I replaced it with an MP3 enabled CD player. I like music but not enough to mess up the beautiful stock interior to improve it beyond the stock speakers, which were great anyhow.
Wheel and Tire
Wheels were stock. Tires were a mishmash.
